Class Placement for Ballet:

Placement in the beginning levels of ballet is determined primarily by age.  However as students advance, age is no longer a factor.  For this reason there are no suggested ages for upper intermediate and advanced classes. Instead, students must have the teacher’s recommendation to enroll in these classes.  The primary concern is to help each student improve and advance by surrounding the student with others of similar ability.  It is typical, but not required, for a student to spend two to three years in each level.
