Offering quality dance education to
all ages and levels

Clarissa Eaton

Clarissa is the artistic director and choreographer for L'Ecole de Ballet.  Her classical training began with Wayne Stewarte formerly with the Royal Ballet.  She participated in the Royal Academy of Dance program, and later continued her training at the Walnut Hill School of Performing Arts where she studied jazz and modern dance in addition to classical ballet.  She has studied also in London, Paris, and at the Joffrey School of Ballet in New York City.

A Company member of the Dance Prism for the past thirty years, Clarissa also serves as assistant to its directors.  She is a rehearsal coach for the Dance Prism's annual productions of "The Nutcracker" and "Alice in Wonderland".  She has taught students of all ages and levels at several area ballet schools, including The Ballet Academy of Concord, and Bay State Ballet Theater School.  In addition to her teaching background in classical ballet, Clarissa has extensive experience working with preschoolers, and is qualified as an Early Childhood teacher. She holds a BA in both English and Psychology and is currently teaching at UMass Boston. With teaching experience ranging from preschool through college age students, she is able to tailor classes to fit the needs and capabilities of all children.

Tiana Nygren

Tiana is thrilled to continue and expand the contemporary jazz program she first started as a guest teacher. Tiana has worked as a teacher at L'Ecole de Ballet for 8 years, and will now be running the jazz, tap and contemporary portion of our program.  She has a BA in psychology from Wheaton College, MA, and performed in the Dance Company there for 4 years, as well as choreographing company pieces.

At Wheaton, she worked frequently with Kurt Adametz of Lehrer Dance and Andrea Taylor-Blenis formerly with Prometheus Dance. She has 22 years of experience in Ballet, as well as extensive training in Jazz, Contemporary and Hip hop. However, contemporary remains her passion. Tiana continues to study in New York with such teachers as Chio, Ashlee Dawson from SYTYCD, and other notable instructors. She maintains a close relationship with Ben Needham-Wood, soloist at Smuin Ballet, San Franciso. She has also participated in Alvin Ailey workshops. Tiana currently works as a special education paraprofessional in the Lunenburg school system.

Sarah Drinkwater

Sarah began dancing at L'Ecole de Ballet when she was 3 years old and has been a devoted dancer ever since. She has received a solid background in the styles of ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and contemporary while under the primary instruction of Clarissa Eaton, Mary Demaso, and Miranda Bailey. At the age of 16, Sarah danced at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet for their summer intensive where she studied ballet and modern with many notable instructors including Vanessa Zahorian, Michelle Lucci, and Jamie Rae Walker. To expand her dance education, Sarah also trained with Sarah Wroth and Jamie Brege for a year at The Boston Ballet School.  She has traveled to NYC to take classes with Jack Hertzog, David Howard, Ashle Dawson, and many more. Sarah is currently a company member of Dance Prism and continues to perform in their productions year round.

Along with teaching dance, Sarah has worked at many schools and children’s programs in the area and has extensive experience working with children in preschool through grade 5. She loves teaching kids of all ages and has a passion for dance that she hopes to pass onto all of her students. When not in the dance studio, Sarah is working on obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education as well as working at Damien’s Dancewear in Chelmsford.

Mary Demaso
