L'Ecole de Ballet
Offering quality dance education to
all ages and levels

Clarissa Eaton

Clarissa is the artistic director and choreographer for L'Ecole de Ballet.  Her classical training began with Wayne Stewarte formerly with the Royal Ballet.  She participated in the Royal Academy of Dance program, and later continued her training at the Walnut Hill School of Performing Arts where she studied jazz and modern dance in addition to classical ballet.  She has studied also in London, Paris, and at the Joffrey School of Ballet in New York City.

A Company member of the Dance Prism for the past thirty years, Clarissa also serves as assistant to its directors.  She is a rehearsal coach for the Dance Prism's annual productions of "The Nutcracker" and "Alice in Wonderland".  She has taught students of all ages and levels at several area ballet schools, including The Ballet Academy of Concord, and Bay State Ballet Theater School.  In addition to her teaching background in classical ballet, Clarissa has extensive experience working with preschoolers, and is qualified as an Early Childhood teacher. She holds a BA in both English and Psychology and is currently teaching at UMass Boston. With teaching experience ranging from preschool through college age students, she is able to tailor classes to fit the needs and capabilities of all children.

Tiana Nygren

Tiana is thrilled to continue and expand the contemporary jazz program she first started as a guest teacher. Tiana has worked as a teacher at L'Ecole de Ballet for 8 years, and will now be running the jazz, tap and contemporary portion of our program.  She has a BA in psychology from Wheaton College, MA, and performed in the Dance Company there for 4 years, as well as choreographing company pieces.

At Wheaton, she worked frequently with Kurt Adametz of Lehrer Dance and Andrea Taylor-Blenis formerly with Prometheus Dance. She has 22 years of experience in Ballet, as well as extensive training in Jazz, Contemporary and Hip hop. However, contemporary remains her passion. Tiana continues to study in New York with such teachers as Chio, Ashlee Dawson from SYTYCD, and other notable instructors. She maintains a close relationship with Ben Needham-Wood, soloist at Smuin Ballet, San Franciso. She has also participated in Alvin Ailey workshops. Tiana currently works as a special education paraprofessional in the Lunenburg school system.

Sarah Drinkwater

Sarah is delighted to be teaching for her 7th year now at L'Ecole de Ballet. As a student here, she received a solid background in the styles of ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and contemporary. While in high school, Sarah added to her dance education by studying ballet and modern at Central Pensylvania Youth Ballet and Boston Ballet School. Her experience working with a wide variety of teachers- including Vanessa Zahorian, Jamie Rae Walker, and Lasha Kozashvili- has given her the opportunity to acquire diverse styles when it comes to not only her dancing, but teaching methods as well. As a company member and rehearsal coach of Dance Prism, Sarah thoroughly enjoys the performance aspect of dance and can be seen in the company's performances year round.

Along with teaching at L'Ecole, Sarah has worked at many schools and children’s programs in the area and has extensive experience working with children in preschool through grade 5. She loves teaching kids of all ages and has a passion for dance that she hopes to pass onto all of her students. When not in the dance studio, Sarah is working on obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education as well as working at Damien’s Dancewear in Chelmsford.
